Hi Charles, What we don't want to do is to tie up this thread indefinitely. Company F of the 2nd Texas (Moore's) had nothing to do with James L. Lockley as we know. Please feel free to email me or ask others questions on the thread. If and when we find relevant information about James L. Lockley I feel we owe it to the people reading all of our threads and you or I can post it.

So far the best information has come from George Martin as usual, he is very good at what he does. Our main issue is why did James L. Lockley mention the 2nd Texas on his pension records? It may take months to find out and I don't want to continue this thread any longer than we have to.

I know of a descendant that had ancestors in Company F of the 2nd Texas Infantry (Moore's) and he has been looking for two years now and writing letters to Germany etc. Can you imagine how long our threads would have been over two years? LOL I believe one day he will find his answers.
