History runs the good, bad and ugly but it is history nonetheless. I suppose we should be thankful that the WD even did anything with the Confederate stuff at all and I know we all are indeed thankful. The sad part is how much missing stuff there is from these files now at NARA, etc.

That is a hole that can never be filled.

I always enjoy meeting fellow researchers and hope we can do that again sometime. These boards are the best for their ability for folks like us to meet and share knowledge. You have always proven yourself to be willing to share your extensive knowledge and I, for one. am grateful.
