Hi Dennis, Yes, I was aware that my uncle Leonard Lockley was grandpa James Lockley's deputy from 1896 to 1900 in Edwards Cty,Tx. Leonard was his oldest son,born in 1880 & died 1952. There is a book entitled"Breaks of the Balcones" about the Texas Hill country that encompasses Edwards, and in this book, several pictures of them posing together in the courthouse & jail. My son,Warren, has the book,but he lives in New York, at present, and won't part with the book. If I ever decide to travel there I will try to bribe him out of it. We Lockley's are a stubborn bunch.
