I came across this report detailing a skirmish on Yellow Creek that occurred on May 22,1863. Can you tell me if this theis the same skirmish in which Dr. James was captured(first) and sent to Ft. Donelson.

May 22nd,1863
5th Iowa Cavalry, under Major Baird
Skirmish with some of Cox's command on Yellow Creek, about 4 miles from our camp. Routed and chased them for 12 miles . Capturing 7 prisoners . Loss unknown. Capt. Paul slightly wounded
"Rebels were in ambush" Have given orders to take no more prisoners.

On the same day (May 22,1863) a Reverand Judge Willis Jackson, of Dickson County; shot James May. He was arrested by Federal troopers, tried at Clarksville, sentenced to 2 years hard labor at the Penitentiary in Nashville.
