Hi,
I was searching Confederate documents which are free this whole month on Fold3.com
I located a Union Citizen file on a Dickson County resident named George W. Smith; he was pleaded his case to the U.S. military about
bushwhacker destroying all of his property. The file has many documents; including an affidavit mentioning two bushwhackers named: "J. Street" & "E. Shelton". I'am assuming this is Euphrates.
He struck a Union man with the butt of his pistol on the highway.
It mentions a bushwhacker camp being located in a wooded area near J. Streets'(either Jechonias "Jack" Street or son) by some Union
men searching for the bushwhackers (Spring 1864)
