Later in the war men from the 12th who had deserted sometimes were found among
guerrillas "of the worst type".
The 12th was encamped at Camp Gilliam at
Dickson county,until May 27,1864.
The two Dotson's who gave their testimony at Clarksville, who sons of George C. Dotson of later Gilliam's Station, their father had food supplies taken by soldiers off to this
camp.
