Re: 54th Tennessee at Shiloh?
nice heads up on the 54th --not that you are pushing this as you say but thoughts worth what you paid for them. My first response was the 154th which was of course at Shiloh but that is not relevant. TICW conflates the two 48th regiments-linking each to a consolidation with the remnants of the 54th. Where is is smoke there is likely fire and it is hard to imagine that if all these bits were at Corinth in early April it is doubtful that they weren't at Shiloh. Tennessee records are poor at best. My passion is for the 28th Tenn. in which a great-great uncle served and was lost at Shiloh.
