Thanks Tom Elmore for a more detailed explanation of the movements and positions..like many descendants, I wanted to know as close to certainty as possible of the places my collateral ancestor stood....our family oral history taken from the letters of the old veteran tells us he was a teamster for the 4th at Gettysburg...he did not become a line soldier until Chickamauga. A second collateral kinsman was with the 5th Ala. (O'Neal's/Rodes) at Oak Hill. With so many asking questions, the ranger did a good job in making plain his comments despite some doozy questions....my favorite...where are the bullet holes in the rocks?. Thanks once again.
