Two of my direct ancestors were in the 36th, along with several collaterals. From the letters in his file, Jesse Glenn appears to have inspired a great deal of loyalty among his cohorts. His personality shines through the letters he wrote to Joe Brown, Seddon, and others. I'm surprised more hasn't been written about him.
