Thanks Alan, Other than Demopolis, Alabama would you happen to know of other parole camps in Alabama? I'm assuming that Scott's brigade marched to Demopolis after Vicksburg and were given furloughs for about 30 days as a general rule. After their furlough was over where did they report back to? Was it Demopolis again or another location set up by their respective regiments or brigade?
