Mr. Hodge, Thank you for your responses. I agree the histories are somewhat varied. It does not make sense to me that a Georgia regiment that was exchanged prior to September 15th 1863 in Atlanta would not have been used at Chickamauga. As we know Longstreet was coming on flat cars from Virginia so why a regiment in Atlanta would not have been sent up on the Western and Atlantic railroad perhaps a 100 miles defies military logic.
