Re: The court martial of Colonel Jesse A. Glenn

Jesse a. Glenn was my maternal great, great grandfather. He was court marshaled for desertion because he returned home to check on his personal effects. He was cleared and promoted to Brigader General. He lost the use of his left arm at Vicksburg from a cannon ball. His finger on his left hand was blown off.

He killed his opponent in an election for judge over a "floating vote". He was never charged. His son, my grandmother's father, died at age 43, when she was very young. They were farmers and lawyers.
