No problem Jim, I'm almost 65 ! LOL !!! Good to hear from you again. I think we've talked before about our " home-grown yanks " in east Tennessee. I recently e-mailed this site and suggested they begin a new board on " Southern Loyalists." Maybe you can second my motion ! Thanks for the info on east Tennesseans in the Army of the Potomac. Unless one joined the Regular U.S. Army as opposed to the State Volunteers, I doubt there were many if any, fighting in Virginia. On the Confederate side the 7th and 14th Tennessee regiments in Virginia were I believe from middle Tennessee ? The 63rd was a east Tennessee unit that returned to Virginia with Longstreet and surrendered at Appomattox. I believe the vast majority of men from east Tennessee on either side fought in the western theater.
