Glen,
I would guess that the only TN Cav. unit to possible have any members at one time or another in the Army of the Potomac would be members of the 12th TN Cavalry. But those were not natives of TN. Largely their company and field officers were mostly from north of the Ohio. Such as Captain Dennis Donohue, who after the Civil War would be part of the Irish Fenian invasion of Canada.
