The Union regiments I'm aware of ( I'm a life-long resident of east Tennessee ) from Tennessee and east Tennessee in particular were formed just across the mountains in Union-occupied Kentucky. Those units I believe, were all attached to the Departments of the Cumberland, Ohio, and the Tennessee. Curious about any Union men from east Tennessee possibly serving in the Army of the Potomac.
