(Demoss') 10th Tennessee Cavalry
Three of my ancestors(cousins of my 3rd Great Grandfather who was executed in Dickson County(1864) as a guerrila) were enlisted
with Captain D.F. Alexanders Company (Napier's Tennessee Cavalry) at Waverly,Humphreys County (December 1862) as 1st Lieut,Brevet 2nd Lieut, and Private.
They were members of Company "I" & "E" (DeMoss') 10th Tenn. Cavalry. At the time of their capture there ranks were 1st Lieut,and two were 2nd Lieut. two were captured near their home in Dickson Count (May/July '63),one of them was sent to Johnson's Island where he died months later;the third was captured during a skirmish at Waverly,Humphreys County(abt.63-65?) .Two of the brothers survived into the 20th century(Dickson county,tenn/Arkansas) They may have attended reunions
