And one Oncoseka who moved from C to M. I presume any of these Kansas regiments, especially the ones formed later in the war, could contain Native Americans. Joseph G. Vann was a Cherokee who appears to have been "conscripted" near Cane Hill in Dec. 1862 by the 9th KS and later becomes captain of co. M, 14th KVC.
