Upon viewing the pic the consensus was that from the troopers features he looked to be Delaware, possibly Choctaw. On viewing the roster of the 14th and showing it to my experts Ken, you seem to be on point as they tell me that the phonetic spelling of the names were more often than not dead wrong.
