Thank You Mary. Some day I ask for help in running down the Mother of a great Uncle named Osceola Nolan and his sister Argizona. Neither of which can I confirm the spelling. They were born in Wionona, Mississippi in 1869 and 1866. I believe The mother Sarah (Maybe Noland) probably died in child birth in 1870. Her husband Robert Nolan my GGF then remaried another lady from Elkton, Giles, Tennessee, who was also half Indian. Her son from a previous marriage side he was i/8th when he enlisted in the CW. Both are difficult to track with my little knowledge. I am hoping that the new translations at Footnote.com of Indian list of Tennessee will help.
