Re: A.J. KENNEDY, Capt. GA is not buried in N.Z.

Additional basic details of corrections that need to be made (if documentation is required, Gray needs to conduct the research himself, as he stated, in the past, that he was conducting research to correct all mistakes, yet has not yet done so, in any of these cases):

JACOB HOFFMAN, buried at Beechworth, Victoria, and claimed by Gray to have been a Confederate solder; the excellent researcher, Bob Simpson, of Beechworth, and had known Hoffman's daughter, before her death, has shown, clearly, that the Jacob Hoffman, buried at Beechworth, was never in Confederate service, as his pension papers and CMSR files show that he was in Union service through the period it was claimed that he was in the Confederate Army.

JOHN ORR BOAG, buried in northern Victoria, claimed by Gray to have been in the Confederate Treasury Department, was, in fact, during the period of the Civil War, in an Asylum in Glasgow, Scotland, and only went to America after his release from the Asylum in 1867. Boag himself even admitted, in the 1900 U.S. census, that he had not arrived in America until 1867.

JAMES CAWTE, buried at Port Pirie, South Australia, and claimed by Gray to have been in the Confederate Navy. I have researched the CS Navy for a large number of years, and never found anyone of this name in that service. HOWEVER, I do have documentation that proves, beyond all doubt, that Cawte was actually in Union service, and had deserted.

WILLIAM KENNA, buried in the state of Victoria, and claimed by Gray to have been in Confederate service. If Gray takes the trouble to peruse the statements made by Kenna in the AUSTRALIAN BREWERS JOURNAL, he will clearly see that service was actually for the Union, in civilian service.

MORE TO COME!!!
