Re: Alexander John KENNEDY, Capt. F&S 19 GA Infant

Of interest is that someone filed an application for a Confederate pension in the state of Georgia ca 1918, either in his name, widow perhaps, or another identifying him as a reference. It would be interesting to search the Georgia pension files to identify this person.

A. J. Kennedy, Captain, Field and Staff, 19th Regiment Georgia Infantry, entered service June 11, 1861, appointed A. C. S., September 17, 1861, dropped from the rolls August 2, 1862 having failed to give the bonds required by law

There is correspondence between the Adjutant General, U. S. War Department, with the Georgia Commissioner of Pensions, Atlanta, Ga., dated June 25, 1918
