George, the person buried in New Zealand was not the person with the surname of Kennedy, who served in the Georgia regiment. Gray has made numerous errors, and ordered VA grave markers for a large number of persons who were either not in the Civil War, or were in a different unit altogether. I have advised the VA a couple of times about all this faulty research, but they continue to waste tax payer's money in providing markers for non Civil War veterans, etc.
Some years ago, I did some very basic research and found that the A.J. Kennedy in the Georgia regiment was most definitely not the one buried in New Zealand.
