they got their enfields shortly before Gaine's Mill...they were held in Reserve at Eltham's Landing defending the brigade artillery...I have no doubt they were well armed and put their weapons to great use. due to being the historian for our reenactment group of the 18th I would like to have documented weapons and uniform issues for the regiment. From research and discussions with uniform experts the 18th and other Georgia units could have drawn clothing and equipment from the Richmond depot as well as those in Georgia. I do know they received an issue of undyed jeans wool jackets and trousers in the spring of1864 before rejoining the ANV.....some of Joe Brown's "death clothes" maybe from the depot in Milledgeville?
