John, thank you for these sites; Ol' Billy sure got around! If Mrs. Lemon was seven months pregnant in June, 1864, then Captain Lemon must have made a trip home before his capture at Knoxville in late November 1863. He was a POW for the remainder of the war, and was one of the "Immortal 600". After returning home to Acworth, he signed my great uncle Alex' pension application. Stan
