Will have to check but Col Wm Crawford's regiment was with him and Crawford has a letter he wrote to his wife that details their retreat and I want to think they were with Fagan all the way. Previously what became Co B of Crawford's regt acted as Fagan's escort when it was an independent company at battle of Helena. It was from Saline Co, the home of Fagan and he knew most of the men. Likewise, Crawford was a Saline Countian and close friend of Fagan all through the war and two of his companies were from Saline as well. They were with Fagan down in Texas when the surrender occurred.
