I grew up in Arkansas county and remember seeing the bloodstained dress on display in the Ark. county museum near Ark. Post. As I remember they had the dress folded in such a way as to hide the blood stains. Don't know if it is still there or not. My parents were good friends with a man who grew up in a house in St Charles that was used as an aid station during the battle. He told of blood stains on one of the doors that was used as a dressing table. This house was known as the "mud house" and burned down.
