Are these available on microfilm? They must be if this man is listed that way in Broadfoot's, as this draws exclusively from the microfilm.Regarding the 40th: Company B "The Pickens County Planters" first mustered on March 13, 1862 at Speed's Mill. The company originally consisted of 101 Privates, all from the Gordo area. Company G "Pickens Stars" also appears to have first mustered in Pickens County in 1862, perhaps with men from Carrollton.
