Could you take a look for a John J. Lowe? He volunteed in the 28th or 34th Alabama Militia in Pickens County in 1863 or 64 under the command of Col. J.J. Lee. (Can't remember which year off the top of my head.) He also served in the 3rd Alabama Volunteer Infantry, Company I.

A different (?) John J. Lowe was conscripted about that same time in Tuscaloosa County. He was assigned to the 17th Alabama Militia Regiment under the command of Maj. Prince.
