Chris NelsonHomer: FYIFri Dec 8 10:16:10 2000 Morehead's cousin, George Work, appeared in Richmond in April 1864, 5 months after Morehead's death, as administrator of Morehead's estate seeking back pay ($770, which he got). In seeking confirmation of Morehead's death, the Richmond Hustings Court obtained an affidavit signed by two former acquaintances, William M. Bond and William P. Mount, who were present during Morehead's last illness in an unnamed hospital. Pugh attached a statement to the affidavit endorsing Bond as a "gentleman worthy of credit"; he didn't know Mount. Bond never saw Morehead actually die but was certain he did from "general information." So,the question is, in which unit(s) were Bond and Mount in?Morehead Homer Jones, Fri Dec 8 13:54 Homer: FYI2 Chris Nelson, Fri Dec 8 10:47 Morehead Homer Jones, Fri Dec 8 11:59 Bond and Mount Chris Nelson, Fri Dec 8 12:52 Bond-Mount Homer Jones, Fri Dec 8 14:13 Bond and Mount Chris Nelson, Fri Dec 8 16:53 Bond-Mount Homer Jones, Sat Dec 9 10:27 Morehead Chris Nelson, Sat Dec 9 17:31 Bond-Mount Homer Jones, Sat Dec 9 18:49 4th Cav. history Hayes Lowe, Sun Dec 10 07:39 Bond-Mount Homer Jones, Sun Dec 10 08:20 Morehead Chris Nelson, Sun Dec 10 10:50 Morehead query Alan Pitts, Mon Dec 11 13:58 Works family.
