Chris,

Co A, of the 4th Bn was commanded by Andrew
P. Love of Pike County; there were three
companies, Love's from Pike and McKenzie
and Roberts from Barbour; the bn was formed
fairly late as Love had previously served as
a capt in the 22d Ala Inf; officers for Co
A were elected at Troy Aug 24, 1863 and left
almost immediately for Va; w/ the ANV, Co A
was designated as Co H, Jeff Davis Miss Legion;
both Bond and Mount served in Co H; during it's
service in Va Jeff Davis was a part of Phillip's
Ga Legion; have no idea at what point they
were transferred to the AOT, but they were in
NC at the surrender; from an old muster roll
of one of the other co's, I see notes for one
soldier k. at Stauton, one d. Whitehouse and
another wounded at Cold Harbor, but does not
provide dates.
