Hi Patti, I definitely appreciate transcription problems! Census records are notorious for that! If it isn't the census taker throwing you a for a roll of loops, it's the transcriber. On the 1900 census, the census taker recorded my 5 year old grandfather as a female named Jewel instead of a male named Joel. He listed his mother Naomai as Nomnumi. No wonder I couldn't find their 1900 census record! You probably feel like you're going blind! I can't wait to see your book! Thank you so much again for your help!! I was getting absolutely nowhere!
