Now that you have experienced transcription problems, maybe you can appreciate my 1,046-page book that is about 70 percent from handwritten records. ..I have letters that we have spent 40 man-hours transcribing so that the history of the last 1-1/2 year of the Civil War can be compiled. ..Too much work for a single PhD dissertation. .. Oh yes, I hope you will have my book shelved in your local library, at least.
