The Tennessee in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Bradley County, Tennessee & the Civil War

Thanks much James !!!! I've probably got a bunch of Land cousins in Monroe County I've never met !!!! A line of the family left Wilkes County, NC. in the mid 1830's and settled there. 4 brothers were Confederates. Three were paroled at Vicksburg and never went back. One joined the Union 7th Tn Mtd. Feelings were so bad on both sides after the war three of them left for Texas. Good to hear from you again.
