My TN ancestors settled in Roane County prior to moving elsewhere. My ggg-grandfather married in Kingston prior to immigrating to Stewart County (Dover). Had he remained in Kingston, his sons might have grown to be Unionists instead of enlisting in the Confederate Army. I have heard this is beautiful country.

BTW, one of his sons was captured at Ft. Donelson and sent to Camp Douglas.
