Sounds like a trip to Tennessee would be worth your while too. Our state archives in Nashville has a ton of Civil War sources to mine as well as all of the period newspapers on film that survived. Great staff as well. The East Tennessee Historical Society in Knoxville holds a lot of resources as well along with the 1864 battle flag of the 26th Tennessee. The state museum holds two other flags for the regiment, one taken at Donelson.

Let me know when the book is done as I collect books on Tennessee units.
