Gentlemen,

What made Gatewood leave Champ Ferguson and go into north Georgia? From what I have found, he did more to cause unrest among the citizens that he may have caused a lot of Confederate soldiers to desert just to protect their families.

Also, you may want to check the prison records in Texas. He may have died in prison there.
