Zack: send me your email address and mail address and I'll mail up my notes on Gatewood. Am working on a project here in Woodstock and Marietta on cavalry skirmishes and guerrilla activity in Cherokee Co. Ga. We had a couple of fellows like Gatewood that were so effective in 1864-65 down here that Gen. Sherman stated they were "young bloods" and should be killed, even after the war. Gatewood obviouly got some bad press and was notoriuosly effective in N. Ga. N. Alabama and Tennessee against Union forces and sympathizers. My email address is:
