I am probably the genealogist for our family on any side that I connect to.
I was the one who decided to post and ask if he had service since Matthew was born
in 1840.
I am probably some sort of long lost cousin of yours on the Bayne side, maybe many
generations back, and maybe even closer. I am sure you noticed the difference in spelling.
With the s at the end is just a varation on the spelling.
My Bayne family was in Virginia where my gg grandfather Walter was born in 1812.
His family left going on to Kentucky and he swung down to Shelby County, Tennessee. Then
after the war ended, the W. D. Bayne family left heading west into Arkansas in 1869.
