Thank you very much for the info Bruce.. You always come through with great info.. It is appreciated.. I will grab those books asap.. I have seen dozens of guerrilla photos from various collections (many of which have never been published) and you are correct that Quantrill's men, althought most in the photos I have seen wear the guerrilla shirt, it is of various patterns and uniformity.. It seems that Andersons men hold to a pattern or some semblence of uniformity.. Frank James said it was a black overshirt or vest with gold trim.. Babe Hudspeth said it was black with embroidery... And Anderson himself wore the black with red trim or "roses".. But, black seems to be a underlining theme..

But, you mention red overshirts.. I had not heard that one about Anderson's men.. That is also interesting.. I know that Jesses James was seen in red overshirts and he was in Anderson's bunch off and on.. I believe you wrote that they attacked Rocheport, people on the steamer said they wore black shirts with red roses ..( I could be off on that but, I am sure you remember) .. That is the info that intrigues me.. The citizens and the Union accounts.. I know that the work you do has to be painstaking but, it has to also be alot of fun..
