Sources of information on the Crescent are scattered. As part of the same record group that contains soldier’s records there are “Records of Events” for the regiments themselves. For the Crescent these contain a lot of information on where the regiment traveled and when but not much else. The late Dr Bergeron’s book, "Guide to Louisiana Confederate Military Units," is a good beginning of any search on a particular unit.

A good diary with information on the Crescent is "The Diary of Felix Pierre Poche." Although Poche was not in the Crescent he traveled with them and knew several of the officers.

As far as Fulghum's grave site, someone else had already entered the information, I just added to the Crescent's "virtual cemetery." Thanks for the family information you provided, I'll add it to my notes.
