Colonel Perrin had a book made, called "A little more light on Gettysburg" (Not sure if is called that exactly). But I would try google or anything around that name. But I did find the book back in 2001 at the Library of Congress. Just as you said, Charles, he mentioned capturing the "Large Flag of the 149th Pennsylvania", MG. Reynold's HQ flag, a battery guidon and another smaller guidon. Now the smaller guidon was recaptured, when that South Carolina soldier was killed later on the battlefield. I am not sure what that flag was or who it belonged to. Only two South Carolina regiments charged straight up the hill during the 1st Corps last stand. The other South Carolina regiments moved to the right to deal with the Union Cavalry. In what must have been the strangest battles, two single regiments broke through the 1st Corps and then wheeled left and one by one, each Union regiment fell out. Scales's NC brigade was hit hard by artillery fire and they did not capture any flags. Now Colonel Perrin wrote that BG. Lane was suppose to be on his right for a Three brigade attack. Lane never did come up, dealing with Union cavalry and that left only one single brigade to take on the 1st Corps.

It is confusing on which "Pennsylvania Flag was captured".
