In regards to your account from Colonel Perrin, where did you learn that he captured a battery flag and a guidon? I read an account when I was in the Army that he boasted capturing four stands including one a 1st Corps flag. Also, I found a long time ago that the 26th Wisconsin lost a flag according to an officer from that regiment that was captured and on his way South saw one of his flags and his brigade flag in the hands of the Confederates.
