Hello Ken, When you stated "I'm always skeptical of info in the POW documents. Undoubtedly many mistakes are made by the person recording the info and, I believe, incorrect or inconsistent info given by the prisoner." I could not agree with you more. Recently I found Union deserters claiming to be Confederate soldiers and they were allowed to join the Union Army and even received pensions after the war. Had it not been for the Federal Pension records found at the National Archives their stories would never have been revealed.

The five soldiers I listed are all listed as being with the 35th Regiment, Arkansas Infantry. They may have served in previous units, I don't know.
