I notice in Robert Krick's book on the Fredericksburg Artillery that John M. Garrett transferred into the Caroline Artilery in 1864.
This is the same Garrett on whose farm John Wilkes Booth died.
If anyone has a copy of the Musselman book metioned by Dr. Massey, I'd be grateful to learn if Garrett is listed as a member there and what else it might say about him.
He transferred in to the Thornton Battery on 15 April 1864.
