No, the 30th, 47th and 55th are not from Caroline County. The 30th were from Fredericksburg and the counties of Spotsylvania, Caroline, Stafford, and King George. The 47th was from Caroline, Middlesex, Essex, and Stafford counties. The 55th were from Essex, Middlesex, Lancaster, Spotsylvania, and Westmoreland counties. I have relatives in all of these regiments and in the Thornton's Caroline Light Artillery.
