Hey Joe, No not yet but there were 117 of them claiming to be Confederate and 13 from Texas who were Union soldiers who attended the 75th reunion. From the Georgia research they would be doing good to have a 30% chance as being at the Battle of Gettysburg.

While it's true that many former Confederates went to Texas after the war. Sooner or later I will find the list from Texas and hopefully will be able to give it to you when I meet you in Atlanta.

To be eligible for a Confederate pension in Georgia they had to have at least six months duty for the Confederacy with an honorable separation.

Not only were we fooled but organizations like PBS were duped into thinking this 1938 Gettysburg reunion had been former soldiers from Gettysburg including Ken Burns.

No one had ever checked we just believed or wanted to believe.
