That is what I found online on Fold3 as well. Yet a note appended to the flag itself from the captain of Co. A, states that Owen saved the flag from capture as well as a post-war article about a reunion of the 2nd Texas where the flag in question was present. Yet if he was captured why wasn't his parole document in his file?
