Very good.
Few people have heard of the Skirmish at Franklin Church which is located today (2016) between Vaughn & Lexington, Holmes County, Missisisppi.
My great Grand Father, One William R Pickett, who was in the 36th Mississippi and Surrendered at Vicksburg. He went home and after he recovered, the Seige was a horrible experience, he joined his two brothers in law in what by that thime had become Wood's Regiment.
Franklin Church was a very small, but interesting skirmish.
Grand - Pa Pickett received what was described as a minor wound.
He left us the legacy handed down through the family,
"A minor wound is one that happens to someone else,
It it happens to you, all wounds are major."

Franklin Presbyterian Chruch today is a very interesinting place.
Long abandoned and away out in the woods.
The Church still stands with the Cemetery out behind the building.
The Church building is original, bullet holes in the siding,
patched with the tops cut from tin cans.
They hold a Memorial Service on the approximate date of the Skirmish.
Get some local preacher to preach a interdenominational service, dinner on the ground, and some good conversation. Very pleasurable, about this time of year.
A Methodist Preacher Friend has Preached it a couple of times and I have gone.
Very pleasurable.
