I may not be that well known to you flag experts, as I've been selling historic autographs (40,000+) for almost 25 years so I've learned a bit about provenance and experts. The names Madaus and Flayderman have been known to me since I was a kid (I'm "well-seasoned" at 53 now) and their expertise, knowledge and reputations need not be further described here. I relied on those qualifications to help determine whether to offer this item in our auction.
I also rely on Dicky's expertise and his long-standing integrity. I have known him personally for over 15 years, and have never heard of him ever offering a "bad" item...or for that matter, maligning anyone or anything.
In the interest of fairness and openness, if any of you would care to see any part of the flag in greater detail, I'd be happy to re-shoot that area and place a link here for viewing.
Sincerely,
Bill Panagopulos
