Gregg,
According to the OR, Manigault's Brigade consisted of the 24th, 28th & 34th Ala and the 10th & 19th So. Ca. throughout most of the war. One of the flags associated with the 24th Ala is a "Polk's Corp variation" held at the Chicago History Museum consisting of a blue field bi-sected by an upright white cross w/ a narrow yellow border. (Similar to the flags of the 22nd Ala. Inf. and Water's Ala. Battery). From what I've found, these flags might be contemporary with the Bragg (Cassidy style) 2nd issues and seem to be unique to Wither's Division. Another thought is that Manigault's Brigade was part of Bragg's Corp throughout it's history (and various command changes), so it's possible they (34th) may have carried either of the Cassidy style flags at some point before the Augusta flags were issued.
